straight to your marketplace draft.
Select an item in PicToPC, then use the extension to hand its photos to a supported marketplace uploader. No photo ZIP to save, extract or browse for.

Open a create or edit listing page on the marketplace. Open its photo section, then click the pinned PicToPC extension in Chrome and choose Insert photos. Keep the popup and your PicToPC library open until handover finishes. Each site’s photo count, format and size limits still apply.
These new photo transfers are a preview and need testing against your live listing editor. They require one identifiable image upload field. If the site does not expose one, PicToPC stops and you can use the normal ZIP download. The extension does not publish listings. SKU and condition-description filling remain eBay features.
Install once
- Download the extension ZIP above and extract it into a folder you’ll keep.
- Open chrome://extensions in Chrome.
- Turn on Developer mode, then click Load unpacked.
- Select the extracted folder containing manifest.json.
- Pin PicToPC using Chrome’s puzzle-piece menu, then refresh your PicToPC library.
You only extract the extension once. You won’t need to extract ZIPs of your photos for this workflow. Keep the extension folder in place while it’s installed.
After updating, reload the extension at chrome://extensions, then refresh both PicToPC and your eBay draft. The popup remains available as a fallback; keep it open when using it.
Send a photo group
- In your photo library, click Send to marketplace under the item you want. Keep that tab open.
- Open the correct eBay listing draft and its Photos section.
- On the UK eBay listing page, click Insert PicToPC photosabove the photo grid. Progress appears directly below the button.
- Keep the listing page open while the photos transfer. Wait for eBay’s thumbnails, then check the order and count before publishing your listing yourself.
One group of up to 24 photos is selected at a time. Check there is room for the whole group alongside any existing listing photos. Selections expire after 15 minutes and are cleared when you reload or sign out of PicToPC. Choose the group again if you need another transfer.
Fill the Custom label (SKU)
With “Set Custom label” checked, the same transfer fills eBay’s Custom label (SKU) with your item’s location and SKU, joined by a hyphen. For example, A3 and 001 becomes A3-001. This replaces the current label. Untick it to keep your existing label.
If only one value is present, that value is used. If both are empty, the existing label stays unchanged. Labels over 50 characters are flagged without truncation. Assigned staff can also transfer the full location–SKU. If the field cannot be identified, the transfer stops so you can check it or turn label filling off.
Send the condition description
Android 0.4.0 adds a condition picker and a separate condition note for buyers. Choose a standard condition or enter category-specific wording. Leave “Set condition description” checked to fill both into eBay’s Condition description field, replacing its current text. Empty details leave the existing description alone.
Choose the matching Item condition in eBay yourself: available choices depend on the category. If the description field is missing, open it or untick the option. Private notes are never included. Staff can transfer these buyer-facing details.
Condition wording allows 80 characters and its note 900, keeping the combined description within 1,000 characters. eBay’s condition options.
Prepare photos while you open your draft
Click Send to marketplace in your PicToPC library. Photos start preparing in the background immediately. Keep that tab open; when it says Ready to insert, use Insert PicToPC photos on your eBay draft. If you click sooner, the extension waits for the remaining photos. Uploading to the marketplace still depends on your connection.
Enter an optional quantity in the Android item details and leave Set quantity checked to fill eBay’s Quantity field. A blank quantity leaves your draft unchanged. Listing fields are supported on eBay; other supported marketplaces receive photos.
Fill the main description and price
In the Android app’s Item details, select a saved description or write one for the item. To reuse it, tick Save as my default for new items and give it a name. Add a Price in pounds if you want it transferred.
On eBay, leave Set listing description and Set price (£ GBP) checked when inserting photos. Supplied values replace the main description and Buy it now price. Blank values leave them unchanged; untick either option to preserve an existing value.
Use the visual description editor with Show HTML code turned off. Descriptions are inserted as plain text, preserving line breaks. Price filling requires an identifiable GBP field; it does not change currency, auction bids, postage or offers. Review the draft before publishing. These new fields have passed automated checks and still need testing in a live eBay editor.
Your originals stay yours
JPEG and PNG files within eBay’s 12 MB upload limit transfer without added compression. The extension offers compatible copies for oversized or unsupported images: these become JPEGs up to 4096 pixels on their longest side. You can turn that option off. Copies exist only for the transfer; your original PicToPC files stay unchanged.
Private transfers
The extension adds a button automatically on UK eBay listing pages at www.ebay.co.uk/lstng. Photos transfer only when you click Insert. Your PicToPC account password and login tokens stay on PicToPC. The extension receives the group title, count, selected photos and the permitted listing details for fields you choose to fill. It creates no public image links, stores no photo files permanently and sends no analytics.
Photo access is checked again during transfer, including download-only staff permissions. The transfer passes selected files to eBay, where eBay stores and processes its own copies. PicToPC’s 30-day Free / 90-day Premium deletion rule does not delete those eBay copies.
If eBay doesn’t accept the photos
If the extension cannot identify a single supported photo uploader, it stops. Open the Photos section and try again. A “handed to eBay” message means the files reached the upload control, not that eBay has finished accepting them. If thumbnails do not appear, don’t repeatedly retry: check the listing first to avoid duplicates. Standard ZIP downloads remain available.
For the popup fallback, closing the popup before handover stops the transfer. Temporary staged photos clear from the eBay tab after four minutes, or when that tab closes. Reload PicToPC and select the group again after updating the extension.
