Photograph what the buyer will get
Take a clear whole-item image, several useful angles and close-ups of wear. Include accessories in a separate shot if that makes them easier to see.
For a used microwave, show the front, inside, controls and model label. State any known faults in the description. Do not make a buyer guess whether the turntable or other parts are included.
Save the item and write clear details
Save and sync the photos in the PicToPC Android app. On your computer, open the library with the same account. Add a simple title, such as the brand and product type, and a description of the exact item.
A SKU is a short stock code. If you want it in this listing, use a code you are happy to show publicly. PicToPC can add it to the bottom of the Gumtree description. It leaves the stock location out of that SKU text.
Open the Gumtree draft
- Install the latest PicToPC Chrome extension.
- Select the item photos and choose Send to marketplace.
- Check the text fields you want to send.
- Open your Gumtree listing draft and make sure its photo upload section is ready.
- Use the PicToPC insert control and wait for the photos to finish uploading.
Keep your PicToPC library tab open. If the selected photos are more than 15 minutes old, select them again before you insert.
Keep the draft tidy
PicToPC supports up to 20 photos for Gumtree, including pictures already in the draft. Pick the clearest photos instead of sending several near-identical shots.
Check the title and description after filling them. Selected fields with a value can replace existing text, so leave a field unticked if you want to keep what you have already written.
Finish the selling details yourself
The extension helps prepare your draft; it does not publish it. Once your listing is live, keep its SKU with your stock record so you can find the right item when a buyer gets in touch.
If you list the same physical item on more than one marketplace, keep track of where it is active and update the other listings when it sells.
- Choose the correct category.
- Check the condition and included parts.
- Set and check the price in the draft’s currency.
- Set the right location and contact details.
- Read the preview before publishing.
